We are looking forward to a successful shooting season in 2017. The board has recently discussed the new years and some new ideas for the coming year. If you would like to share your ideas and input please contact a board member so that we can plan accordingly.

Please keep all rifles and pistols in a safe place. Lets all practice excellent gun safety at all times.

All Shooting Events require eye and ear protection. Chamber flags are also required.

Have a great year!

Welcome to LRPC

The Lorain Rifle & Pistol Club exists for encouragement of Organized Shooting Sports, the Education and Training of the Community in the Principles of Safe Firearms Handling and the Pursuit of Excellence in Marksmanship. Members of the Lorain Rifle and Pistol Club(LRPC) enjoy many opportunities to participate in a variety of Club activities and shooting events. Our club has a covered firing point at 100 yards and all types of rifles are permitted from this point except fully automatic and 50 caliber.  No fully automatic weapons are permitted on club grounds.  We also have a 26 position turning target pistol range at the 50 and 25 yard point and usually run four NRA 2700 type competition matches each year.  This is the only time the turning targets are used. The range is divided by day for type of weapon.  Monday and Wednesday are Rifle days(100 yard), Tuesday and Thursday are pistol days and you shoot only from the fifty yard line, Friday is 50 yard day where you may shoot anything from the fifty yard line.  The weekends are split, Saturday 9 A.M. to 2 P.M. is rifle and 2 P.M. to 8 P.M. is pistol and the opposite on Sunday. An 300 yard range is currently under contruction.
